Furyal Ahmed

Biophysics

Furyal Ahmed is presently pursuing her doctoral studies in the Biophysics program at the University of Michigan. She completed her undergraduate education at Agnes Scott College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Furyal's research pursuits revolve around investigating the intricate relationship between protein structure and function, particularly in the context of disease pathology. Currently, her primary focus lies in the development of innovative methodologies to screen and identify inhibitors of protein-protein interactions. By employing her expertise in biophysics, Furyal aims to contribute to the advancement of therapeutic interventions for various diseases.

Outside of her academic endeavors, Furyal finds solace in culinary exploration, experimenting with new recipes to broaden her cooking repertoire. Additionally, she nurtures her artistic inclinations through activities such as knitting and honing her painting skills.
